Advantage is the audio compression isn't as much (if at all?) using DLNA/Airplay as it is with Bluetooth. It's great not to be forced to use a vendors media application to listen to or watch my media. I'm not tied to an ecosystem other than android of course but I'm using Foobar to browse and play my music. This app just replaces the wire between phone and speakers. This app has good configuration options too and has become essential to have on my phone now. However it won't get 5 stars from me. I have paid and therefore I want to be able to opt out of data sharing. This isn't an option so I'm blocking the app using AFwall. Airaudio frequently attempts to upload data to a foreign website. This should only happen on the free version but it doesn't.

3 stars: Love the idea. When the app has the ability to calibrate delay and adjust accordingly via the phone mic, I'd be happy to drop $5, hell even $30 or more on the premium license.
