5 stars: The Guardian apk download - Great app with all the fantastic Guardian content of course and you get this without a paywall. I've eventually signed up to be a (paying) supporter so now it's ad free, though I never found the ads intrusive. Extraordinarily customisable display of the news categories you want in the order you want them. I signed up for notifications but I found them a bit much after switching my phone off. Just the thing, though, if you're a news fiend with a never off mobile. After a few months I got an odd but significant glitch using my old Samsung Galaxy 3 with Android 4.1.x. Contacted Support - fixed in less than day! Who else does that!
2 stars: The Guardian apk download - Great content let down by an underwhelming app. Download for offline reading is very unreliable. I've had instances where I could have read everything of interest in the time I spent trying unsuccessfully to download. Shouldn't show articles more than once when swiping. Latest version is badly broken on Nougat. Can't edit home page or save articles for later. Reported 3 weeks ago.
2 stars: - Too many ads make it impossible to determine quality of reporting or whether application worth paying for. Virtually every page forces you into Google Play store to purchase subscription. I give up and removing.
3 stars: - The dreaded white space issue has returned. Pages seem to be constantly updating so it's impossible to access articles without closing app and reopening. Apparently it's just been updated so I'm baffled. It's so frustrating!
