5 stars: So far so good. App is working well. Of course I don't have many friends on it as most seem to want to stay on Facebook. I will just keep on hanging in and see where it goes. So much cleaner without all the ads and other junk fb puts on your wall. should a be a clear notifications button or something but whatever if they all have to stay there.
3 stars: It's not bad, very basic. But I feel that the free version is lacking behind in comparison to other social media apps out there. I do like the less censorship etc. It has potential if more features were added in the free version. I'm not sure why dark mode has to be a pay feature, as that is free on other apps. It comes in handy for night time.
3 stars: social network seems quite usable. But it is giving me far too many interrupting in-the-moment notifications. I suspect, but haven't been able to confirm, that it's chewing up my cpu or my network access while I'm trying to use other apps, working hard to maintain its aggressive notification stream. But maybe some other unsuspected app is doing that instead.
2 stars: App fails to notify you of replies on posts half of the time, doesn't save partially written comments so if the app kicks you which has been happening repeatedly either when I've been working on a comment or trying to read a long post. A lot of these problems are old from the first couple years. How have these simple issues not been fixed? They're small but really bring down the apps experience...
