4 stars: Good for updating firmware and locating your headphones, but no equalizer or anything like with the Sony app. I didn't experience any trouble updating the firmware, the last step says to plug the headphones into a laptop using the USB cable to finish the update. I left it plugged in for a 5 minutes just to be sure and everything works fine. Still need to check if the update fixed my mic issues though.
3 stars: the app is really easy to use, with an ok level of customization. but only the M50s actually use it, and unfortunately they are not really able to change there sound very much. it differently will not be a big boost in base or treble. As well if you turn down a range, it sounds more muddied that really hushed. For best results, just leave them in stock.
2 stars: A huge app for minimal functionality. It is nice to have it and to set things up. Only you should remove it from the system once the setting up is done, you don't need another tracking app to share your data and eat up your battery for the priviledge to show you the remaining battery. One can't rename the device, one can't change the BT MAC, one can't do most things with this app.
