5 stars: Been using AVG products for years now. Problems have been few and very far between. I do have the PRO subscription. In my opinion, excellent value and protection at a very reasonable price. In about 10 or more years of using AVG products, both free and paid, I've only had to contact support twice. Their response is always prompt and effective. Have never had a threat get past their protection.
3 stars: Over recent years, has really downgraded in an attempt to get people to download more apps, buy more features, submit more of our information for sale to third parties. Back in the day, this app could basically do it all. Most of the services are already included by default with most phones. The actual antivirus part is still good, but no longer has info on all apps, including system. Ram boost is essentially fake.
2 stars: I have used this app for several years and loved it. I've had it active on three separate mobile phones and it has done the job extraordinarily well. It's very disappointing that now my purchase to the PRO version means nothing with the change over to a subscription based service for their mobile app. When I purchased my AVG Pro version, there was no subscription requirement; now suddenly its requires to be a monthly/yearly fee.
