5 stars: The only working Parental control and usage tracking app for Android Smart TVs. Premium features are worth it for the price. Good service with quick response time by the developers. Helped me control access to apps and overall TV usage for kids. To ensure it works well, disable the Energy Optimisation setting for this app so it can run in the background always.
5 stars: It is a Full-fledged Parental Control APP for Android TV/Box/Stick, even if the App name says TVUsage. Has features like Screen-time, Time block restrictions, and un-installation protection. My current android version is 9 and it works perfectly for me. The developer responded to my clarification emails quickly.
4 stars: Does the job, has good control - both schedule and total time. And easy to add more time. 2 things they could do better: 1. Allow controlling from an app on an android phone 2. Don't make the control only usable with a remote. On a shield ATV often the main usage is through a game controller, so should have worked with it too, but doesn't
4 stars: An awesome app to control your child’s screen time on android tv. Well thought out. Can control each app individually. Don’t think there is an app close to TVUSAGE. My only reason to score them 4 star out of 5 is not for anything wrong with the app but for not having an iOS companion app to control TVUSAGE via iOS ecosystem. Nevertheless TVUSAGE is a great app !
