5 stars: No problems with this app so far, or the service on the railways, all been spot on. I'm not a great traveller on my own, I do get nervous, but this app has helped me out a lot. There's been a couple of times my trains have been cancelled, had plenty of notice and I have had a refund within 24 hours, no questions asked. 5 stars from me.
4 stars: The online information about available trains is usually up-to-date. When calculating fares to be paid, the app makes allowances for most travel cards but not, sadly, TfL's Freedom Pass, etc. If it did, this app
4 stars: Works pretty well. Sometimes a bit annoying that it doesn't carry the search stations from Google over to the app. Also it doesn't make it clear that the same ticket will cover many times giving rise to
3 stars: Decent app..my only issue was when I redownloaded the app after I got a new phone it took ages for my Railcard to upload. I had to log in about 3 or 4 times. I almost thought I'd have to get fined on the train. You should be able to view as soon as you log in and go to my railcards. Not all this messing about.
3 stars: Poor. Twice now app has randomly decided to change the default option of eticket to 'collect from machine'. 99 times out of 100 it's eticket so never notice. There's no ticket machine at my station so only option is to refund, which Trainline charge £10 for. No email address for complaints and impossible to get through to online chat.
