5 stars: Lots of fun, would like to see smarter bots at crazy difficulty. There's always a tipping point where I stream roll after getting a certain number of cities. New update did improve them somewhat. Also would be nice if instead of a winner take all, with diplomacy an optional victory condition where the winning team wins instead of having to betray to end the game.
4 stars: Polytopia is a good game. It's got a wide variety of tribes & build paths, as well as unit variation. The randomly generated maps are a nice feature, although the AI isn't always great (even on crazy!). The inability to match-make w/o friend codes is a hindrance to the games replayabiliy. 4 stars: Game is fun, addictive, and charming, with a great artstyle and OST, the tech tree is intuitive and simple, my only gripes are that the options for your tribe (in a F2P playthrough) are quite limited if you don't want to open your wallet. I highly recommend that you integrate a system where a few tribes, can be freely unlocked, and that advertising should be integrated between playthroughs, potentially allowing a free online experience.
