4 stars: A fellow employee pointed out this app a while back. Thought it was a silly idea...winds? Why? Then I actually tried out the app and found out how much it does. So many possibilities. Icing in winter and thunderstorms in summer are my go to functions for work, and it is fun to move about and view different locales. Wish it had better aviation wx implementation, but that's a tall ask in this case.
5 stars: The best app for weather, no other app gives a cape index or forecasted thunderstorms. It gives wind at varying pressures to see shear in the atmosphere. You can put a radar right on your home screen using the widget. It has the best satellite and for over 12 hours so you can look back to see how storms develop. The best!!!! So much more i havent seen yet.
5 stars: Been using Windy for years. Great unbloated and relatively accurate for the area weather application. When planning trips on the water for the West Coast of Canada, a focused and accurate app to assist is paramount. As with any trip prepare for the unexpected. Appreciate how seamless to operate and uncluttered this app is. Keep up the great work Windy team.
5 stars: The time format is wrong. When you click on time format in the setting area, when you select 12hrs, the sunrise and sunset still shows as 24hrs time format! Need to be corrected please otherwise what is the point to have the option to change the format if it does not work. Other than that it's a wonderful app. Thanks!
