4 stars: I wish there was an option to automatically download shared files in the gallery or files outside of the app. The image and video file compression is incredibly good at preserving quality. It beats the pants off of Facebook messenger, which is the reason my family switched to it. Still, compression is compression, and there's no option to send full-size files. Add both those features and I'll up my rating to 5 stars.
4 stars: I have a android phone...I've been having issues with the signal group lately. When I try to type in a group, the signal app keeps closing or crashing. Only happens when attempting to type in a group. I tried freeing up some storage space, closing out open tabs, factory resetting my phone and giving permissions to the app. If anyone can help...it would greatly appreciate.
3 stars: Great until you want to send a MMS. It will not allow you to send more than one photo or file without manually reducing the size of each photo. No one has time for that. I am actually keeping my regular message service so I can bounce back and forth when I want to send multiple images. This really need to be properly fixed.
4 stars: All and all I really enjoy using the application. It mostly does what I need it to. However, I've had an issue recently (since switching to my Pixel 4a) where all of the recipients of my calls through the application aren't receiving my audio. Though, I hear them fine... However since the application keeps spamming me to rate it...
