4 stars: I personally think it's the best newsstand application. Algorithm works fine and predictably, suggesting related articles about topics you're interested and based on the news you've read. It does lack options, though, like blacklisting sources. Magazines section is also quite confusing and not very user-friendly, they should make it more intuitive like the headlines section.
5 stars: I wish I didn't love this app! Especially because it has an algorithm that feeds my bubble. But! They do have an option for me to see across multiple media types for each story so I can read from conservative to liberal etc. And, I am becoming addicted to all of the Dear Abby types of articles which Google seems to point out for me each day. All in all, it's a good app and I appreciate the breadth of news.
3 stars: I have used this app for years with no issue, good source of all news together as one. However in the past few days it's managed to burn through 4 gbs of data, it's eaten all my mobile data over night (not realising my WiFi had switched off on my phone). I will now need to buy more data, I've had to turn off mobile data on the app as I don't trust it any more, which is a shame as I like reading the news when I'm out.
