3 stars: National and international news okay, picked Atlantic for local, but NL doesn't appear to exist. They report on NB PEI and NS covid everyday, not NL. Lots of other stories about NS NB and PEI but no NL
3 stars: Notifications for stories I have already read. Notifications for categories I have not selected for my news feed. No way to report typos on app. App needs work.

3 stars: There needs to be a dark theme setting, black backgrounds are way better than white for battery consumption and your eyes.
5 stars: Great to get notices before someone speaks live. Great to keep you up to date on what's going on worldwide.

3 stars: Great app until mid October 2020. Then the local news playback started to play commercials. Which isn't the worst part, the worse part is the commercials were being play instead of the news not inbetween segments.
3 stars: I prefer CBC's news channel, but their app is charging $5/month to stream. CTV's is free. The CTV app crashes shortly after starting to cast the news channel stream, but the casting still works. -1 star for that. Update Sept 15: It seems streaming the national news channel is no longer free. Down to 3 stars now.
