3 stars: I love the app, it's great for group chats for school and college, but for whatever reason it just does not push notifications. I have it set to, and I've had the same issue around two years ago which actually cost me a friendship because the app never told me I had a rather important message from someone. I cannot figure out why this does it.
3 stars: Used to work fine. Recently I don't get any notifications. I have to open the app to get the notifications. It seems like many people have the same issue. Update: I got reply from Microsoft to Uninstal and reinstall. I ran the maintenance application before re-installing. It worked fine afterwards.
3 stars: Doesn't notify me of PMs only group chats. I checked all the notifications setting with in the app and on my phone. But groupme specifically wont notify me if I get a direct message from one person. This has caused issues with assignments and working with people. It notifies me of messages that post to any group chats though, so thats weird.
