5 stars: Generally really useful of course, but a few things: Once you have more than just a few marked places (favorites,wan2go,starred) the colored symbols tend to be visually in the way once you zoom out far enough, as they dont shrink in size according to map ratio. Also to be able to draw distance radius circles would be nice.
3 stars: I wish this app worked better hands free. I would like to be able to use it better while driving and connected to the vehicle via bluetooth. But as it is currently it requires input on the screen to start navigation. \
3 stars: It works well to navigate when it works. However, in the past year, the app keeps losing GPS signal even if I have clear sky. I haven't had any issues for past four years until this year. Sucks when you are driving and then GPS loss and you are on a unfamiliar road. Issues happened all over when I traveled in Brisbane, Anchorage, Seattle, etc. Using a Samsung 8. Many Reddit threads on this issue.
4 stars: Maps has been leaving my location where I start my navigation and not tracking my progress. If I close the whole app and start over, it usually works the second time. It's not safe when the car is moving to fiddle with a malfunctioning app and it is a hassle. I'm about uninstall and reinstall to see if it fixes the issue. I was hoping to come here and see an update.
