5 stars: I tried Root bc my previous insurance was SO expensive. I am SOOO glad that I did. The premium is MUCH cheaper. The app is very smooth and easy to use. Policy changes are also straight forward, quick and easy to understand. I used Road side assistance for a jump start tonight and it couldn't have been easier. So far, I'm a very satisfied customer.
4 stars: Love my Insurance through Root. My only issue is you can't make a payment until the app says so. I would like to be able to make my payment when I have the money (earlier than set date on app) rather than waiting. After my initial 6 months of coverage the cost went up almost $30. ( Matching the rate of my old and more expensive provider). have yet to need to file a claim so I can't comment on that aspect of service.
4 stars: Root.is a simple app that does not ask needless questions and focuses in upon getting you inexpensive insurance. The only issue I have is that you are forced to carry comprehensive and collision on both vehicles. You cannot select this for just one. For people who are insuring non-standard families. This is an excellent option. I cannot speak to the quality of their claims center.
