5 stars: Avast Mobile Security - Antivirus & AppLock apk download - This or Kapersky are the only real options to keep a device safe. The US gov't is trying to outlaw both bc theres no backdoors and they actually stop spyware. I have paid subs to both on my phones and pcs. Running windows and linux ive never had an issue since i started using Avast products. Adding kapersky as a means of active website monitoring locks everything down. Cant beat Avast, $ vs product cannot be beat even by Kapersky. Avast is the only free option available to secure a device but youll have to go elsewhere for a free vpn. Avast is worth the sub tho, best VPN and cleaning systems available.
3 stars: - I like the app,. Has some really nice features. What I don't like, after paying for, is all the hooks to try to get you to purchase/install there other products. Get rid of all that and it's a decent app. Currently when I click on a suggested action I never know if it's taking me to the play store to install another of their apps, to a page where I can purchase a service or if it's something I've already paid for. Not sure if I'll continue the AV subscription once it ends or not. One feature I like is the app locking. Adds that extra layer in the event someone does get you phone while it's not locked.
5 stars: - I've been using Avast since 2005. As with all antivirus, you never want one company to own all of your phone. Which is why it's better to have one specific program for each duty. The specs of Avast as a general virus detection and antitheft, have always been solid for me. Where as wifi boosting, and charger boosting are used with other programs.
