4 stars: Didn't work at first, but after the recent update it does what you'd expect. Google Maps it is not, but it does the job.
3 stars: The app is OK. It is fairly good when i look for addresses within the city or popular places. But it cannot find most of the addresses or shows wrong suggestions. It's weird that Toyota added CarPlay but abandoned AA which is used by most of the people. Even though chances are super slim but hope that Toyota will add AA later as an update or Scout GPS will continue to improve at least so that it could be usable.
3 stars: Connects only the first time after downloading to my Android phone. does not reconnect upon reopening the app once it has been closed on the phone. My spouse has never been able to connect with the app on her iPhone. No voice commands in French and it does not work in the US either. Worst GPS app out there by far. Toyota would be well advised to partner with someone else.
