5 stars: I love spiders, and oddly enough for me...after my own real life spider companion passed away this app, actually helped move on. I know odd to grieve over losing a spider, but I did. Love the info tid bits, I think this app will help educate and make spiders cooler for most people. I want to thank the development team for this game.
5 stars: A very nice simulation of having a bunch of cute little tarantulas. It's also very informative of (I would assume) real facts about the real tarantulas. Only problem is that you have to tap to interact with your spider (I would like some swipe-to-pet action) and closing the application takes multiple tries
5 stars: I really, really love Real Scary Spiders. I raised 2 tarantulas which both were Mexican Red-Knees. Spiders are misunderstood animals, doing more good then most people realize. This app reminds me of an old Windows 95 program from Virtual Creatures, Mexican Red-Knee Tarantula. The main difference is that I do not have to pay actual money for their virtual crickets, and I get to play with many spiders. Hats off to Animal Planet for this app.
4 stars: Good game with educational value. There's some issues with timing on molting which can leave spiders very low on health and happiness if you don't constantly micromanage the game. It's a pretty needy game, too. It will nag you every few minutes to check back in. All that said, it's adorable and definitely worth a try.
