4 stars: the app works great to control my switch. It even notifies me if the switch loses internet connection. unfortunately this is sometimes due to the switch becoming unresponsive, even through the touch sensors on the device. Cycling power on the breaker feeding the light switch allows it to reboot and restores function. This happens every 4 or 5 weeks. Overall for the price I am super happy with the app and the device.
3 stars: For one, the software is finicky at best. Sometimes when I click to turn on the water valve, it's just frozen, won't do anything. I have to force it to shut down, restart and then it might work. It also sometimes takes a while before the valve comes on but it doesn't show in the app it's working on it so I wind up clicking more than once and it will go on and then off again. Very frustrating. Also loses timer settings after power failure.
