4 stars: I pay for the cloud service to enable me to upload alerts from my camera. As a rule this works well except every month two days do not record and therefore I get no uploads. I spoke with Foscam who said that my subscription is based on a 30 day month so days will be missing in 31 day months. I pay monthly so should be covered for every day of the month regardless. Otherwise the app is brilliant but I am being forced to look elsewhere.
4 stars: The latest version, 2.3.9, is a huge improvement for working with G4 cameras. The app connects to the cameras very quickly, the SD playback functions better, and additional settings are available for the camera. Now just fix the actual firmware in the G4 Camera so it is more stable - please!!!!
4 stars: for those of us with multiple cameras. the notifications need to say which camera has had motion detected. it says 'foscam_camera detected motion' and im always left having to check them all. its frustrating. why bother naming them when the notifications dont tell me which one detected motion?
4 stars: I don't think there's a way to enable continuous recording on the SD card. I can't access the web UI because it requires some plugin I'm not going to install.
3 stars: Issues with alert notifications and calendar resolved by Foscam Support, so upgrading rating to 4 stars for responsiveness and helpfulness. I will reach out to them directly via email about a couple other issues.
