5 stars: Tbh, the app surprised me. The conversational format beats so many other news chat bots in the market. A total skeptic at first, I am so sold now. The app is great. I would love enhancements, but without disturbing the app the way it is now.
4 stars: Quartz is an excellent news feed for the millennial soundbyte age. The app itself has an ingenious format in the guise of a chat box; it delivers breaking news in a very digestible format, giving you the most important points of a story in a mock-sms/social media environment. While the journalism and GUI themselves are exemplary, the selection of stories compared to the Viewport version of QZ is severely lacking. You'll only get about 3-5 stories at a time instead of the infinite scrolling capability of the main page. If you're a news hound and are looking for more nonpartisan sources, you should definitely consider QZ. I give it an A- (the small number of story selection prevents me from grading this higher)
4 stars: Pretty good app Only complaint is there is an annoying delay between clicks...I wish it was more instantaneous. I mean you can click a button and then it would pretend to be like someone is texting you but I really dislike that delay... To get around it I just hit the home button to exit the app and then hit return to app and the article will be posted...saves me a few seconds... I wish there was a setting to disable the delay....
