4 stars: Updated; I messed with settings, did and undid a few things and my notifications are back thus have changed from two stars to four stars... *Not getting notifications on a regular basis. This is very frustrating. I thought I had no emails which was a shock and I opened it up and there were about 30. I will change this review once this issue is resolved.*
3 stars: Badge icon and notification sound not working. Even though my Gmail app is set for badge notifications, they do not show up. My text, phone and whatsapp do work properly, just not Gmail. A software engineer specializing in Samsung phones tried to make it work and couldn't. He thought it was a bug in the software. I have the latest edition of the app and have tried rebooting the phone several times but nothing seems to work.
2 stars: The service works well when it works but a few updates ago (including the most recent on) I've gotten no notifications of emails from Gmail at all. That is until I open the app and all the email notifications I should have gotten are now popping up as notifications. This needs to stop! It won't occur with one or two updates of the app, then suddenly (and randomly) occur with a random update, which is extremely jarring.
