5 stars: I gradually replaced all the various cloud/drive apps for backing up my image/video media with Yandex. The free UI doesn't interrupt your experience with those intrusive ads that I've come to expect when dealing with similar services. The accompanying gallery app features powerful image editing software that I use and enjoy daily. Highly recommended!
4 stars: Please add some AI-based functions like searching for an object or face by typing in the search box, gathering all photos containing same the face... Previously I could do it with Google Photos to search for old photos, but after switching to Yandex to back up, those missing features are the biggest loss to me since there is no key point of reminder.
4 stars: I love the Yandex Disk service, but if they add feature like face recognition, they are unbeatable in the market.
3 stars: I am a paid subscriber and what I don't like is that the app does not have a proper editing tool. Existing one does not even cover the basics. That is a huge turn off. And it does not make auto collected videos like google does. And company must reassure their continuity due to war. Many are leaving fearing that yandex would close
2 stars: The app is great, really great! Changing smartphones with this app is easy as it can be: all your photos are in the unlimited storage across devices. But they made this thing subscription only. I think you could leave it to some people or those who has Yandex plus. Now I have to buy it...
