5 stars: The kids love the sound effects. The students love the sound effects. Even the students who are hard to engage are sucked into the stories through the added effects. They do not work as well if there is a student who is noisy in the class because the phone has trouble picking up the readers voice over the noise.
4 stars: Overall, a great app that my students love; however for the book Last Stop on Market Street the sound effects stopped before the book was over. Wondering how many other books have similar issues. Overall, we still love the app!
4 stars: My son loves this. I like how the book options keep increasing. Some books have better sounds than others. I wish there was a way to add people to your account. The app, on my phone, doesn't work as well for my husband and he also reads to my son.
3 stars: Very cute idea. Pacing is a little weird sometimes and I feel like I get interrupted with some of the sounds. Also, supposed to get 5 free experiences/month. I got 2. It said I had 3 more available, but would not allow me to select a new book. The only option was to sign up for the (expensive) program, no way around it. I just opted into the free trial, but I will be cancelling after the 7 days.
