5 stars: Simple but challenging piffle is one of those games that you could quickly pull up to fill a short break but also engaging enough to play for a couple hours of free time. The graphics are adorable and definitely fill the squee factor. The controls are simple but do require a little bit of patience and occasional finesse to guarantee the outcome you would want.
5 stars: Great game, with many levels, daily levels, and regularly released challenge levels. Consistent new content. Extremely adorable, and free to play. Spending money is completely optional, and once you spend any amount of money, ads are removed. Lots of fun!
4 stars: I utterly adore the character designs, level designs, challenging yet beatable nature of the game - everything. Except for the monetization. Coins are extremely expensive to the point of being absurd. I'll buy the piffle patterns when they go on sale, but that's the only somewhat worthwhile purchase. It's very rare to get coins in this game either. Don't waste them.
3 stars: Was cute and fun at first but it became obvious that the levels were balanced around the use of paid powerups. Some levels are heavily RNG-based to the point where you knew you couldn't beat that instance of the level based on your starting position. Ooze blocks are super annoying and singlehandedly brought the review down by 1 star. Otherwise, game is very polished and fun for the first hour or so.
