3 stars: Poor sound quality and keeps on disconnecting.The developer's excuse is the poor WiFi connection. There is no connection problems with my other apps. 1 star review remains. Since my last negative review, I have made a couple of calls that were of a better quality and didn't get cut in the middle of conversation. To be fair, I have added 2 stars.
4 stars: I wish my regular phone service had a voicemail message transcription/send to email option. Love that feature. I've been using Talkatone for years for calls to the US with no issues. Only challenge I have had is having incoming calls ring through on my phone. I can't seem to get that to happen. It might be a setting I'm not sure about in the free version.
3 stars: Sometimes calls don't come through, has connection issues. Will have to close the program and reopen it to work. Otherwise works ok. There's a bit of lag time when in a conversation with someone. Half the time it doesn't give an alert when a call was recieved or a message was left and you dont see it until much later when an email tells you someone left a message.
4 stars: Mostly great because it's free texting. However, it has a lot of drawbacks. All calls gave a delay, so it's basically useless for phone calls. Also, you can't send or receive pictures, and if someone sends you a pic, it not only doesn't show up, but the sender has no idea that it's not showing up. So it can cause a lot of confusion, and make people think you're ignoring them. ...
