3 stars: Great potential, needs more work. I really love the UI and it seems like devs have already worked out a lot of the early bugs. Deal-breaker: downloading is incredibly slow. compared to any other podcast app, Himalaya takes easily 20 times longer to download an episode. Its unsustainable. 5 stars: I recently switched to this podcasting app and really enjoy it. It lets me create playlists off my downloads. It shows me new episodes but once viewed it doesn't keep them flagged just because I haven't listened to them. I find it visually appealing. The suggested podcasts have been pretty intriguing too. I downloaded this a few days ago and use it for my 2 hour commute to work. Been content with it so far.
4 stars: Love the app and all the features it has, but the app crashes SOOO often (like more than every 5 minutes) when it is not on screen (when you are listening to a podcast but looking at something else). This needs to be fixed! EDIT: App crashing seems to have at least partially resolved, I've added another star to my rating.
3 stars: I love this app EXCEPT one annoying thing: you can't change the playlist order after you make it, AND it plays in the opposite order from how you add the episodes! So if you add episodes 1, 2, 3, 4 to the playlist, you have no choice but to hear 4, 3, 2, 1! Please fix this bug - then it would be the perfect podcast app!
