5 stars: Great app. Reading experience is 100x better than the mobile web, pocket for desktop is polished, and it's a great way to save articles. The text-to-speech engines... aren't quite there yet, they've come a long way but I don't really use that feature because the voices still sound too awkward \u0026 monotone. PS. 5 stars: Great app! I can always find something of interest to read, even if I only have a few minutes available. Being able to save articles to view later is convenient. My 1 complaint is that some articles are only available if you have a paid account with the provider. I don't even bother opening NYTimes articles any more. I use Pocket every day and like it, a lot.
4 stars: The app works well. The only improvement I can think about is the TTS feature. The application should automatically fallback to offline TTS when no connectivity is available. Having to manually change the setting in the options is a pain. I just want to listen to my articles but the application makes it harder for me when I'm unable to connect. Other that, it works flawlessly and it's a great app.
