3 stars: Family filter currently offers basic functions. Recommendations would be to track the movements from location to location of our child on the map during the day. Also shadowing apps used (screen shots or live registration) showing the behavior and would be helpful. Specifically when using social apps. Tagging particular words used within chats to trigger abnormalities would be useful.
3 stars: Heads Up: restricts apps, etc is a bluff. Kid X's out of dialogue notification/request box and they still have access to the app. This maybe a family discipline issue, but please know that this feature is not a safeguard. Also, if someone grants permission to extend time, there is no way to undo or shut the device/account access down. You would have to personally intervene. App doesn't help solve problems, it is preventative.
3 stars: Didn't expect such a buggy app from Microsoft of all developers! 1. The list and the map tabs don't refresh. Sometimes maps still shows the list page and vice versa. The app needs to be restarted constantly. 2. Maps doesn't load streets most times and is very slow to load. This app needs much much more optimization!!
4 stars: Can approve my daughter's requests from her laptop with a touch of a button. Works great. I wish it gave more control over her Apple devices though but I guess that's more on Tim Apple than MS. Minus a star for always asking to run in the background but otherwise very useful if you manage your kids devices with MS...
