4 stars: Personally, I love this app, and have used it for almost 2 years. However, I recently upgraded my phone from a Samsung S7 to a Samsung A71 5G. Since then, it will NOT let me choose any folders on the SD card. It will not let me change to the SD card from the folders tab, and since that is where I've ALWAYS had my folder full of Audiobooks, I am more than a little perturbed.
3 stars: The app won't process m3u playlists if they are encoded in Windows CRLF. You must convert the m3u file (which is basically a text file) to Unix LF in order that the app will recognize it properly. Moreover, it doesn't support relative paths. If a playlist is composed of relative file paths, the app would say the playlist contains 0 songs! This is really bad.
5 stars: This is perfect for me, I was looking for a music player after Google Play Music became defunct. I just like to play my own music files, I don't need anything fancy. Didn't have to transfer across any files, all the music on my phone was just simply there when I opened the app. Simplicity at its best!
4 stars: A pretty tidy piece of software with the ability to tailor the names of the albums and artists, and add thumbnails of the albums which I've found handy whilst converting from Windows to Chromebook. Alot of my music has been ripped from CD's so this is quite important to me.
