4 stars: Very good app. Easy to use. I've never had any problems with the app crashing. I don't think it takes up too much space. I'm very happy with it. Also I love that I can search people and topics and get access to the whole NYT archives. Eat your heart out microfiche! Did you feel some nostalgia? It's the great reporting of THE NYT with that slightly pretentious, smug œuvre, the Times we know and love. 😜
3 stars: The journalism is great but if I turn off notifications I should not still be getting alert tones and push notifications on my phone. I have turned it off 3 times now and then I get another alert and go back in and see that the notifications are enabled again. What is the deal on that?
3 stars: Use the app on my phone and love that version. On my Chromebook, the appearance of the home page is small and not sizable on my touchscreen. Hard to read. Don't like the Chrome version. News content, as always, is exceptional.
3 stars: Content is excellent. Compared to other news apps though, this one is not user friendly. Bookmarking feature is horrible. Try to make it too high end and it misses the mark. Luckily most of the content feeds though to other sources.
3 stars: Love the paper, hate the app. When I click on a breaking news alert, it takes me to the main page - and often that story can't be found. It's incredibly frustrating.
