It saves your usual foods, you can scan barcodes for quick adding, and when it can't find the item, you take a picture of the nutrition facts, the front of the product, list a name for it and done. It's an amazing app. Just make sure you add food choices from the NCCDB library or similar library instead of scanning barcodes so that you can keep track of all your ingested micronutrients instead of just the nutrients the company that made the food is required to put on the package.
5 stars: Absolutely fantastic for tracking nutrients, also great for tracking carb/fat/protein ratios. I've lost 5 lbs in one week just by becoming aware of how many carbs I've been taking in thanks to this app. I also have boatloads of energy, and even reduced my cellulite! Also discovered that I have been wasting money on unnecessary supplements, so it's ended up saving me money :) I'm absolutely obsessed with this app.
5 stars: I keep coming back to this app and this time amazing new feature in the free version. Google Fit steps tracking! My calorie allowance is updated for my activity. The food logging and nutritional breakdown is the best in any app I have seen. The free version of this app puts other pay apps to shame. Plus, annual Gold membership is the price of a month in some plans.
