5 stars: In-depth story and a sense of permanence due to the characters not really being stronger than the enemies you face in your travels. Every location has a distinct feel thanks to the simple-but-excellent artwork for each new locale. While it features many RPG aspects such as upgrading equipment and gaining experience, it doesn't feel like a minmax grind so much as an adventure you are an integral part of. Don't run out of supplies.
4 stars: Great game and exactly what I was looking for. Only issues- 1) it's EXTREMELY difficult to regain resolve... And 2) It's a wee bit irritating when you reach a point no one will join your company and there's nothing you can do to change that....
