4 stars: Worked perfectly for me. Now replaced by far inferior BBC Sounds app which loses the ability to choose high quality download, dark mode not available , less intuitive interface. Harder to navigate. Why replace what wasn't broken. I just hope they improve the new Sounds app because as it stands it is a very poor replacement for this BBC radio player app.
5 stars: A GREAT APP! It's a great shame it was replaced with BBC Sounds which is an absolute shambles. Strange perhaps that BBC iPlayer Radio is STILL available for download on Google Play (as of 27 Nov 2019) not that it works because you are told it's been replaced by BBC Sounds. Maybe the BEEB needs a backup plan as the consistently poor ratings on GP tells a story of app development woe and failure.
4 stars: This was a great app. Quick, clean, effective and I've used it for years both in the UK and whilst working abroad. I'm disappointed that it no longer functions. BBC Sounds better live up to the claims! (Another users suggested uninstall and reinstall works to prolong this app: not any more😤 )
5 stars: Fantastic App. Disgusting that it is about to be replaced by the disgraceful hard to navigate and feature lacking BBC Sounds app. How much did this app cost to develop over the years only to be replaced by a far worse app that cost millions to the license fee payer. The google reviews are only proof of what a massive cock up the Sounds app is. Bring back the Iplayer Radio App!!!
