4 stars: Having lost the best walker's GPS, ViewRanger, to a commercial take over, I've been trying to find a replacement. I've tried 8 or so apps. and If you can manage without OS maps this is the one to go for. Easy to plot and save routes, easy to find what you have saved. All the maps are downloadable for offline use and are free.
5 stars: This app is awesome! The map (OSM) is very detailed, most hiking and biking routes are clearly visible. Usability is fine, I enjoy the small zoom slider on the right side. It is possible to download certain areas for offline use, but I've not tested this so far.
5 stars: Exceptional! Been using this app in the form of Windy Maps for over a couple of years now, having previously used the rather clunky Oruxmaps. The app has a great UI, easy to use and easy to install offline maps. Has been used extensively across the UK, Austria, Germany, and Poland, and has never let me down.
