4 stars: Not like the old RTS PC games. More of a base-building platform with mini games to keep you occupied. Some were good, but it took about 30-60 minutes a day to clear all the mini-missions and by then I lost interest. Graphics, sound and visuals were really good. If this is your jam, you'll love this game; just wasn't for me. Still, 4 stars for a quality product.
4 stars: it's not bad. it's the exact same platform game as all the other kingdom app builders. it's never like the advertised version Ever! that being said- there are nice graphics, and reminders, of the old game. mainly a couple of sounds. but it's not the old game. it stands on it's own. it's reasonably good. no glitches so far. fair play so far.
3 stars: Plays closer to something like rise of kingdoms. I won't say this game is bad because it's not. But to call it the beautiful classic that age of empires is? It's not. It's trying. But it's not. It's fun. But it doesn't captivate me or hold me like the classics. I used to spend dozens of hours playing the classics. If your looking for that this game IS NOT that.
2 stars: Ouch they took a classic and buggered it with excessive animations and additional features. Actual game play consists of clicking on the random things they prompt you to click, and it's a good thing too, because there are too many different game-within-a-game features.
