5 stars: Doesn't let you manually set a Search Engine, doesn't seem to work with QUIC properly even after enabling it in the browser and running quic a dns and connection. Still a great browser overall and works well with adguard, just have to keep going back to homepage to use my preferred search engine which brave doesn't seem to be able to detect to add as an engine.
4 stars: the browser itself is great and it's the only way I've found to block annoying YouTube ads on Android. Doesn't hog resources. It loses one star for constantly opening new tabs every time I do something, I don't want a new tab unless I open one, if there's a way to prevent that from happening I haven't found it.
4 stars: Update: docking a ⭐ due to browser now randomly, but repetitively flipping back to a previously viewed page. Original: Does it consistently, and reliably Blocks ads? Yes! In-app Dark theme / night mode (white text on black background) across nearly every website? Yes!! Great UI? Yes! Does it crash often like chrome and others? NO!! Result: Best browser available.
2 stars: Easily replaced Google for me. Much better AND much less bias of search results. Edit: It was great until recently. The picture-in-picture randomly stopped working. That was my main use for Brave. I tried everything, even deleting and reinstalling the app... I just lost all my tabs and everything I've accumulated over years. Didn't realize there wasn't a way I signed in to save my sheeeet. So that sucks
