5 stars: Google Maps is an excellent tool for exploring the world around us. As a contributor of content. When I think of a new or modified feature I'd like to see, it appears with the next update. Google Maps makes is a very versatile, functional, and intuitive app. Update: When navigating, I would like to see my destination somewhere on the screen. This would be especially useful when I have an intermediate stop before my final destination.

3 stars: Timeline is an utter mess. I have to use receipts to find out what time I was at the store because Google can't get it right (even though it just navigated me to the location lol). FIXED! The review sorting options? I don't want to read reviews that are 7 years old at the top of the list. Feature after feature is being removed from all of your apps. Guys, are you really that poor?
3 stars: I have had this app for many years. For several weeks now location sharing has been nearly impossible to update. Since the 1/12/25 update it will NOT update locations at all and shows the subject offline at all times. Everything else seems to work fine. I also wonder if its my phone. I will probably have to get a new one soon but until then I need a better option.
