4 stars: love the camera, but the selfie night cam could be improved very easily and majorly by including some form of light as it captures the photo. otherwise, it tries to apply night processing onto a very dark image which isn't ideal. samsung for example just uses a white circle, not even increasing screen brightness, which actually makes a huge difference in night mode selfie quality.
4 stars: I really miss the option for having permanent on-screen shadows adjustment bar. I used it plenty of times. iPhone has it and I don't understand why Google has decided to remove this option from users. Now you have to look for a hidden shadows compensation option, which disappears every time the camera restarts. This is massive step back. Apart from that the photo quality is excellent and camera app functionality is very good.
3 stars: Look there's no denying that this app helps make deep colours pop, but the way in which is HEAVILY crushes the blacks and increases contrast without a way to turn that off? No thanks. I don't need every selfie to look like I've aged 20 years on film grain. More options to adjust settings like this is desperately needed for those of us who know what settings to adjust.
