5 stars: App is works as expected with a nice newer UI. One thing that was removed with the new UI is the random default connection. Now you can only set it to your last connection, fastest country or a specific country. The random default server was a really good feature that was removed. Otherwise love the app and all the other Proton services
5 stars: usually I really enjoy proton VPN and it works seamlessly in the background. recently, however I'm having difficulty connecting to servers, or randomly lose connection. I'm not sure if it started with the newest version (or when), but it really prevents me from using the service on my android device at all.-----EDIT: support never got back to me, but the issue seems to be fixed now 🤷
4 stars: It's a bit annoying that they limit what servers you can use and the wait time between switching, but it does the job well enough for being free. It gives basic protection and helps with accessing region locked content, you're just very limited with what countries you can get unless you're willing to pay for more features.
3 stars: The VPN is amazing, but the latest update removed the ability to choose your country, which sucks because different countries have different traits, like having different selection of shows on Netflix. The old version was better, even with a limited selection of countries
