5 stars: I am super impressed with this app. progress is done at such a perfect pace, and repetition that things actually stick. I am personally learning chinese(cantonese) I believe... and it is a phenomenal process. it's broke. down so we'll between multiple choice, sentence structure, spoken exercises... 3 stars: The way it's designed keeps me engaged however I find that too many new words are introduced at once and it's hard to retain them all. It would be great if there were practice hub exercises that go back further than the past unit. More ways to review and refresh would be very helpful. Also, the glitch still persists in Match Madness on iPad where the font becomes miniscule and impossible to see.
2 stars: It's ok, but I wish they would speed up the animations at the end of each session. I don't need to spend that time just sitting there waiting for bars to get filled up. Also, I wish the voices weren't so cartoony and garbled at times. Edit The app keeps using my streak freezes in the middle of the day. So if I haven't done a lesson before ~1600, it uses one.
2 stars: It gave me my start, for which I remain grateful, but it changes too often. You make progress, and then they bust you down to nothing....but of course the learning stays.
