5 stars: It's pretty amazing. Italki is too formal for a beginner learner like me. This is so great to just be able to text at your own pace. The in text translations are great and the ability to edit each others texts as you talk is fantastic. The posts are great too for finding people with similar interests. Couldn't be happier.
3 stars: Wonderful resource for language learners. However, 1 issue is that the app doesnt support rotate mode and that sucks for those of us who use bluetooth keyboard. Hope they can fix that soon. Also sometimes we send a message and it doesn't get sent we have to try so many times. I think the app is not getting enough maintenance.
5 stars: Best program I have ever found for helping me with my Chinese Study! It's a great way to meet native speakers and exchange language and cultures! The app is easy to use, you have the option of typing and recorded messages. Within the chats you also have the option of translating messages and having the messages read out to you.
3 stars: It's a social media chat interface. It would be useful if you could locate serious learners by searching their profile. Unfortunately the search capability is extremely limited, relegating the app to yet another flirting/dating app. It seems none of the language exchange apps really promote language learning. Maybe because it is too difficult to learn through online apps.
