3 stars: The game plays like the original, which is a good thing. Feels like there was some short cuts taken as there are several levels that are played in one room, rather than progressing through new rooms. The fact that you have to grind through some tower side game to unlock new levels is BS, especially when they are way harder than the level you're trying to unlock and hidden behind a 3 attempts per day wall
2 stars: Really fun game until you hit the wall. Then all progress grounds to a halt and you pretty much need to spend money to advance. Wouldn't be too bad but the amount of different purchases and ridiculous prices for some packs (A pack for $140 is just insane) makes the interest wane incredibly quickly
2 stars: The difficulty spike at chapter 11 maple bridge valley is so atrocious. It's a terribly designed stage with bad visibility, projectile spamming enemies and extremely aggressive bosses. Everything before this one stage felt rewarding to overcome but this stage is a brick wall and it feels like paying for more power is the only way to bypass without regrinding the previous stage dozens of times.
