3 stars: I'm really trying to like the app but it's buggy as heck. The notifications seem like there's lots of different settings but you just get too many too often and about topics you aren't interested in. So far I'm just checking the app when my Google Assistant notifies me of breaking news I'm interested in. And I'll call continue to use this app, as I refuse to support Bell in any way.

3 stars: It runs fairly well, and I enjoy the CBC's news reporting, but the notifications are a mess. I do not want notifications for editorials, full stop (not an option to disable). I also often get three or four notifications for the same topic, in the same day. And often I never get notifications for the biggest stories of the day - but don't worry, I got five about the latest royal gossip!
5 stars: Wonderful! The app is easy to navigate. I also appreciate the countrywide access granted to us, for the duration of these extraordinary circumstances, of the 24 hour CBC news . It does, I think, greatly contribute to a sense of unity and solidarity. 'Plank it' Canada, is my new motto.
