5 stars: Polaris GPS Navigation apk download - Great for backpacking. the topo maps are awesome and include lots of trails already. You can predownload them and keep your phone in airplane mode where signal is weak so it saves battery. GPS will still work on the predownloaded maps when in airplane mode or no signal available. I still keep a map and compass for backup orienteering but have not needed to use them anymore since getting this app. It's so much better than a map and compass since it shows where you are on the map.
2 stars: Polaris GPS Navigation apk download - Paid for upgrade, still get lots of ads. Was supposed to be able to create multiple way points. Not true, only allowed 2 way points, cannot delete White Sands New Mexico way point. Tells me I have to pay for another upgrade. Poor instructions. Not even helpful for a small local lake if trying to use as marine boating navigation. Wont even help you to return to one of the 2 waypoints you are allowed to have. Waste of 9.99.
2 stars: - Great options butbtakes a hell of a time to find the sats.... always waiting for satellites and it takes up to 10 mins... which makes it useless im sorry to say.
5 stars: - My suggestion is the pointer arrow when using navigate-to-waypoint should have some kind of marks on the outside circle such as 0 for going straigh ahead left and right should be numbers just as on the compadd rose to helo maintain course...other than that..great app with alot of features!
2 stars: - User interface is not intuitive at all. I set up a trail to try a test but can't figure out how to turn it off. Now I have a 400 mile trail and I can't figure out how to delete it.
