4 stars: So fast, but with couple of bugs. When opening a channel, it usually doesn't start with the new messages, but skips some of them, e.g. if there are 40 new messages, it shows the last 20th and I have to scroll up to find where new messages start. When playing video, reversing the video takes some time and sometimes it keeps loading the video forever.
3 stars: I really love everything about Telegram X, it gives me all the tweaks I want for normal Telegram and more. It's missing one huge asset however, and that's starred/favourite contact recognition, so that notifications from starred contracts go through when the phone is on the Do Not Disturb. If that feature were to be added, if switch to X in a heartbeat, but as it stands, I can't use it without that.
2 stars: I really like the telegram x app. It's a modern chat system, with tons of bells and whistles. The last update caused a huge regression in reliability and performance. It gets stuck in views, eventually requiring a force quit regularly. Luckily the other app is available, so I'll give that a try until this updates again.
