5 stars: This is very handy as a work phone. The web app is not as friendly as the phone app, but it's really only a few minor details like contact syncing and a regular sign-in requirement, which will probably go away with advancement in tech.
3 stars: It doesn't ring, despite the my best of my efforts. Previously, it was working okay. Some bug with the latest update? I am disappointed :-( Thank you. I can try reinstalling the app; but right now, I don't have access to a US cell phone to receive verification code. Can you clarify if reinstallation can be done without entering verification code?
3 stars: I like this messaging app since Verizon discontinued their app and Samsung is also pushing Google messaging, however there are some flaws in Google voice, and at least one suggestion that I would like to mention. When I Google search on how to change notification tones for messages or ringtone those options are not shown or valid in the app to be able to change them.
2 stars: How is it that Apple beat Google Voice to enabling RCS? Google hasn't added any new features to GV in maybe 5 years. While it's great to have multiple phones ring with one phone number, this was useful when GV first came out, when cell phones didn't have great reception and when we were paying per text message. This simply isn't the case anymore. Google needs to add modern features to this app.
