5 stars: This app let's you know about crime, fires and covid19 outbreaks in your specific area. Sometimes you are able to monitor things in real time with video and updates from other users. The covid info is amazing. It gives you the hotspots and in some cases it will tell you if you may have been around a person who has covid. Give it a try. It's a priceless safety tool.
3 stars: I was happily using Citizen for months until today when the app's usual subtle notification sound turned into a very loud jingle from Pokemon... I do not have kids and it is the only app doing it. Other than that, the app is great... but I cannot have that noise going off at work like that. Please disable whatever allowed this to happen.
4 stars: Pretty cool and some big leaps forward added recently to cover Covid-19 and the fires including an opt in Covid-19 contact tracing mode. Check it out. I have had it on my phone for a long time and have found no intrusive stuff on my time or privacy going on. It's been a work in progress but really starting to hit a good stride and fleshing out nicely I use it a lot now as it's providing some good information daily.
