3 stars: Recently updated the app and got really annoyed with the in-app navigation voice. The navigation voice is very fresh and has a strong indian accent. It is annoying for the passengers as well. I tried figuring out how to change it. When I use waze, Google maps or any other app for navigation the voice goes back to normal british accent. Please let me know how to change this in-app settings. Thanks
4 stars: This app works fine in all regards except one: when using Google Maps to navigate Uber does not give Google Apps the house number, it gives a range. DoorDash gives maps the exact address and navigation is a thousand times friendlier. I know Uber has to pay to use Google Maps and would rather people use its navigation, but Uber's navigation can only take you to a pickup/drop-off, making it less useful as well.
4 stars: FYI: I didn't realize this for months. When you get a ride or select a location to go to, you are NOT restricted to using only the app for directions. You can select Waze or Google Maps as well. To do so, click on the directions bar (top part that shows your next turns), then look at the bottom of the listing of directions to switch to either Waze or Google Maps.
