3 stars: Google Pay doesn't have all the listed loyalty cards listed, it's very frustrating that you don't allow customers to add any other loyalty card that's not on the list. This is why I use Samsung Pay instead. Come on Google, learn from others and make this app more user friendly already!
4 stars: Recent updates have dramatically improved this app. I now use Google Pay regularly on my commute to pay for the subway and have found it to be more reliable and performant. Google seems to have given the app much needed attention. UX also seems to be modestly improved with respect to seeing activity and adding new payment methods. 👍
4 stars: The constant uncertainty about the place you're going to not allowing tap to pay means you still have to carry a credit card or at least some cash. Sometimes I need to disable NFC and not having two to pay work at all, and then fiddling to re-enable it in front of the waiter takes a while and is kind of awkward, but otherwise I have no complaints, the app is fast and getting notifications is much better than getting paper receipts.
5 stars: It worked brilliantly, right as I hovered it on the terminal my phone vibrated and the tick came up. Only just in a few seconds. It's brilliant. Will definitely use it more often and recommend it to my friends.
